A variety of ground transportation options makes it easy to access surrounding areas from Tampa International Airport.
Taxis
Taxi service by Yellow Cab is available at the curbside outside the Baggage Claim Level at the Ground Transportation Areas, Red 1 and Blue 2. The fares are: $3.50 for the first 1/5 of a mile or part thereof, plus $2.50 per mile. The minimum fee from the airport is $20. There is a flat rate fee of $35 to downtown Tampa and the cruise terminal.

Rental Cars
On-airport rental car companies are located in the Rental Car Center which can be reached by taking the SkyConnect train from the Main Terminal. Remote bag check is available for most domestic passengers. Service is available Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Passengers must check-in at the remote bag check at least 90 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
Local residents picking-up or dropping-off customers at the Rental Car Center should do so at remote curb located in front of and adjacent to the Rental Car Center. Look for signs which read, “Customer Drop Off”. Waiting is not allowed at the remote curb. If waiting is required, please use the free Cell Phone Lot located near to the Rental Car Center.
Off-airport rental car companies offer courtesy vehicles for transportation to/from their facilities. Pick-ups and drop-offs are at the remote curb located in front of and adjacent to the Rental Car Center. Transportation to/from the Main Terminal is by the SkyConnect train.
Bus Service/Public Transportation

Public Bus
The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit (HART) and Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) bus stop is located at the Rental Car Center. Follow signs to remote curb. The route map and schedule are posted at the bus stop.

Chartered Bus Service
The Departure Level's west crossover drives are closed to buses. Pick-ups and drop-offs are located in all four ground transportation quad lots (Blue 1, Blue 2, Red 1, and Red 2) located on level 1 of the Main Terminal.
Ride App Pickup (Uber/Lyft)
Guests departing the Airport using Lyft, Uber or Wridz can be picked up at Red Baggage Claim, the Blue Express Curbside, or the SkyCenter One office buildling remote curbside. A service fee of $5.00 will be added to the cost of the fare.
Guests may be dropped off at any public access location including Ticketing, Baggage Claim or the SkyCenter One office building remote curbside.
Peer-to-Peer Vehicle Sharing
Peer-to-peer vehicle sharing is only permitted in Economy Parking Garage. Take the SkyConnect train from the Main Terminal to the Economy Parking Garage.
For quick pick-ups or drop-offs, the remote curb located in front of and adjacent to the Rental Car Center may be used. Look for signs which read, “Customer Drop Off”. Waiting is not allowed at the Rental Car Center remote curb.
