Only ticketed passengers are allowed beyond the entrances to the shuttles leading to the airsides and gates.
Security check points are located at each of the airports four airsides. Passengers should plan to arrive at the airport to allow themselves adequate time for check in, security screening, and food/beverage or merchandise purchases and be at the gate approximately 30 minutes before scheduled flight departure.
Wait times at the screening checkpoint vary throughout the day. The busiest times usually occur between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., as well as days before and after holidays. Travelers should allow about 20 minutes to clear security during non-peak times and 45 minutes during peak times.
Certain items are not allowed beyond security checkpoints or on an aircraft. For information on restricted items visit the Transportation Security Administration website at www.tsa.gov or call TSA toll-free at (866) 289-9673.
You can also contact the TSA for information on acceptable identification, screening of people with disabilities, traveling with prescribed medication, and items missing or damaged at the security checkpoint.
Airlines may issue gate passes that allow one adult to accompany a disabled passenger or minor traveling alone to the gate or meet them upon arrival. Gate passes are available at airline ticket counters.
