Tampa International Airport logs its busiest spring break in airport history

Tampa International Airport had its busiest March and April in airport history, beating its previous record from 2007 by more than 50,000 passengers in the two months combined. In March, Tampa International Airport’s busiest month, TPA served 1,979,244 passengers, and in April, the airport served 1,799,519 passengers, bringing the two-month total to nearly 3.8 million passengers.

American Airlines CEO Doug Parker named the 2017 Tony Jannus Award recipient

HCAA Board approves Phase 2 budget amendment

TPA launches Zika awareness campaign in advance of summer travel

Summer is almost here. For Florida, that means more travelers, more heat, more rain … and more mosquitoes.

Tampa International Airport, in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is doing its part to help prevent the transmission of Zika, a virus spread primarily through mosquito bites. Zika outbreaks are happening all over the world, including parts of Florida and areas to which we have direct flights. TPA is launching a Zika awareness campaign to help prevent the spread of Zika among our travelers and our community.

Master Plan Phase 2

Tampa International Airport's Phase 2 proposal includes a curbside expansion with new express lanes for passengers without checked baggage and 17-acre commercial development around the rental car center. The development area includes a new office building, convenience store with gas station, hotel as well as a commercial curb to accommodate transit and other ground transportation. Phase II also includes new connections to regional trail networks.
