To guide the Authority in its efforts to maintain a sound financial operation and meet the needs of the traveling public and the community it serves, the Authority adopted the following:


Mission Statement

The mission of the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority is to be a major driver in the economic growth of the Tampa Bay region.  The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority will be a leading edge innovator to create global access and world class customer service to build prosperity for its stakeholders.

The Airport Gallery

The Airport Gallery features art exhibitions that change periodically, typically every six to 12 months. The gallery is accessible to the public and located in the hallway connecting the Main Terminal to the Airport Marriott Hotel.

What is a virtual 5K?

  • A virtual 5K is a race that can be run at any location and at a time of your choosing.  You can walk, use a treadmill, run outside or participate in another race.  You can run your race at your pace, wherever and whenever, you like.


I am no longer able to participate on the day of the race.  Can I transfer my registration to someone else? Or get a refund?

Employee Spotlight - Trudy Brandvold

(January 4, 2018) While she and her husband raised two boys in her home state of Minnesota, Trudy Brandvold was always the mother that had a houseful of teenagers who looked up to her as a “second mom,” she said. TPA nears the end of Master Plan Phase 1
