Tampa International Airport Traveler Update

Tampa – On Friday, October 15, 2010 at 12:01 am the following parking rate change will go into effect at Tampa International Airport: 

Under one hour parking will be free in both the Short Term and Long Term Parking Garages. At 61 minutes, parking charges will be assessed retroactive to the time of entry.

There are no changes to the hourly rate or maximum daily rate in either garage. 

Free airport parking for guests parking under one hour is a community service that benefits everyone traveling in and out of Tampa International Airport. Guests meeting an arriving passenger can park in Short Term Parking, take an elevator down to baggage claim, meet their arriving passenger and return to their vehicle for a quick and efficient departure avoiding the hassle of curbside congestion. 

Meeters and greeters are also reminded to take advantage of the free Cell Phone Waiting Lot. With updated flight information, restrooms and free Wi-Fi, the Cell Phone Waiting Lot allows drivers to wait with their vehicle away from the terminal and proceed to meet arriving passengers when they confirm that the flight has landed.
