Aviation History & Career Presentations

For students with an interest in aviation history or careers in the aviation industry, we offer the Aviation History Program*.

Our experienced, professional Guest Services team members will come to your classroom and provide a 30-minute presentation tailored to the students’ academic level on the topic of your choice, followed by a question-and-answer session.

This program also includes a souvenir from Tampa International Airport for each participant and information on reference materials, such as books, magazines and websites. The program is free.

Special programs include the following:

Careers at the Airport and the Aviation Industry

A 30-minute presentation that includes information on the many different airport careers and jobs related to the aviation industry. The program is best suited for grades 6 through 12. This presentation is available any time during the school year.

African-American Aviation History

A 30-minute presentation that includes the biographies of African-American aviators who made history and became pioneers of the aviation industry. It also includes present-day African-American pilots and astronauts who have contributed to the research, development and success of the space program. Suitable for grades 4 through 12, this popular presentation is an excellent academic enhancement during Black History Month in February.
