Woman and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise Program
The W/MBE policy and program endeavors to create greater access for W/MBEs to participate as primes as well as subcontractors on non-federally funded projects, contracts and purchases. Under this policy and program the Authority will accept W/MBE certification from companies currently certified with the City of Tampa’s Women / Minority Business Enterprise Program, Hillsborough County’s Disadvantaged Minority / Disadvantaged Women Business Enterprise Program, and the State of Florida Department of Management Services, Office of Supplier Diversity and will be eligible to participate on Authority-funded contracts as W/MBEs. Companies seeking certification will be referred to one of these agencies. Companies currently certified as DBEs under the Florida Unified Certification Program will automatically be considered certified and eligible to participate on Authority contracts and purchases as W/MBEs.
