Airports are popular locations for filming and still photography. Operating Directive D901.01.02 sets forth guidelines for permitting access to the property and facilities operated by the Aviation Authority
People wishing to film or photograph on Airport property for commercial purposes must submit the following, as detailed in Operating Directive D901.01.02:
- Letter of intent, submitted to the Director of Public Information and Community Relations or her representative at least two weeks in advance.
- Proof of Insurance, listing the Aviation Authority as additional insured and specifically referencing requested activity; i.e.: filming at Tampa International Airport. Amounts will depend on the scope of requested activity and location.
- Signed Hold Harmless Agreement
Filming and photography requests will be authorized provided that the requested activity will in no way interfere with the safe, orderly, uninterrupted use of Airport facilities by Airport users or portrays the Airport in a negative manner.
These procedures do not apply to media activity on Airport property.
