Would you like to take a look at what goes on "behind-the-scenes" at an international airport?
The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority invites you on our basic orientation tour to learn about:
- Path of arriving & departing passengers
- Aviation related careers
- History of TPA
- Structure & design of TPA
- Public Art Program
- Airport security enhancements
During this one hour walking tour, you will visit all three levels of the Landside Terminal Building. You will also learn about the airside/landside concept that makes Tampa International Airport, "America's Favorite Airport".
Airport tours are tailored to meet the special needs (learning disabilities and wheelchair users, for example), specific interests (such as aviation related careers) or academic level of any group. All groups are welcome!
Details
Tours are offered 7 days per week. Day and Evening tours are available. The maximum number of participants we can accommodate in each group is 60. The minimum touring age is 5 years old.
Chaperone Requirements
Chaperones are required for all student groups:
1st - 3rd grade - 1 per 5
4th - 6th grade - 1 per 10
7th - 12th grade - 1 per 15
The Best Part
The tour is free! There is free parking for commercial vehicles (i.e. school bus)! Free Airport Souvenirs are also provided to everyone in the group!
