Are you excited about going to the Airport for a flight? Would you like to take a look at what goes on “behind-the-scenes” at an international airport? If so, the Aviation Authority invites you on our basic orientation tour to learn about:

  • Path of arriving & departing passengers
  • Aviation related careers
  • History of TPA
  • Structure & design of TPA
  • Public Art Program
  • Airport security enhancements
  • Airport Marriott Hotel

During this walking tour, you will visit all three levels of the Landside Terminal Building. You will also learn about the airside/landside concept that makes Tampa International Airport one of, “America’s Favorite Airports”. Request a behind-the-scenes tour and take a look inside the Communications Center, considered the “nerve” center of the airport. Request to include careers and you’ll learn about the many different career options related to aviation. Ever wondered why you can’t walk from the Red side to the Blue side at baggage claim? Find the answer on this tour.
