See Tampa International Airport like you’ve never seen it before, onboard our 20 passenger mini-bus. We will take you on the service roads to see and hear about:
- Airfield Maintenance
- Air Cargo
- Fire Exercise Training Facility
- Fuel Farm
- Aircraft Maintenance Hangars
- Fire Station
- Signature Flight Support and Tampa Jet Center FBO's
You will learn about the Landing System, Runways, Taxiways and look at planes landing and taking off right next to you. You will also tour the Fire Station, learn from the firefighter’s details about their job and take an up-close look at the Special Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting vehicles. Request to include careers and your guide will talk about different jobs related to aviation.
HERE ARE THE DETAILS:
Airport tours are tailored to meet the special needs (learning disabilities and wheelchair users, for example), specific interests (such as aviation related careers) or academic level of any group. All groups are welcome!
Tours are offered 4 days a week and last approximately 1 hour. The maximum number of participants we can accommodate on our tour bus is 20. However, arrangements can be made for larger groups by selecting an additional tour or scavenger hunt.
The minimum touring age is 6 yrs old. Chaperones are required for all student groups.
- 1st - 3rd grade - 1 per 5
- 4th - 6th grade - 1 per 10
- 7th - 12th grade - 1 per 15
The best part is the tour is it’s free! There is free parking for commercial vehicles (i.e. school bus)! Free Airport Souvenirs are also provided to everyone in the group!
