What to Know When Picking People Up at the Tampa International Airport

Tampa International Airport uses a curbside management program to reduce congestion and gridlock on the arrival drives.

During peak periods, you will not be permitted to park or wait at the curbside. You may stop when your passenger(s) with their luggage are on the curb and ready to load.

Normal times for peak passenger traffic are (SUBJECT TO CHANGE – WATCH FOR SIGNAGE):

  • 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM (noon)
  • 4:30 PM to 12:00 AM (midnight)
To reduce confusion and congestion, we offer our patrons two options when picking up passengers:
  1. Proceed to the Cell Phone Waiting Lot located behind the Post Office. When arriving at the airport, follow the signs to the Cell Phone Waiting Lot. Waiting is FREE and flight information is provided.
  2. Proceed to the Short or Long Term parking garages where parking rate is free under one hour!
We do not recommend circling. It only adds to the congestion.
